Environmental Hazard Ranking (EHR) is a useful management tool to prioritise environmental liabilities, manage risks and rank one issue or site against another.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Identify key environmental performance areas
  • Meet regulatory requirements
  • Limit severe and unforeseen environmental problems
  • Rank environmental issues of one or more sites against another
  • Enhance a company's Environmental Management System (EMS)

APPROACH:

Two types or groups of environmental risk are considered namely, "Source Risks" and "Target or Receptor Risks". A combination of these gives the Overall Environmental Risk.
